Best MLB bets for September 24th

Think pro football is the only action to bet on Sunday? WRONG! We have the best MLB bets for September 24th!

And we have been scorching hot with our MLB best bets this week, so you know we are excited to share our favorite picks for one of the last days of the MLB regular season.

Let’s go hit some home runs with our baseball bets!

Toronto Blue Jays (-105) at Tampa Bay Rays (-115) – 1:15 PM EST

The Blue Jays are one of the worst teams in MLB on the run line against their own division. Toronto is just 18-27 in that situation – but maybe Sunday will provide a different outcome.

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher, Taj Bradley, has struggled against this Blue Jays lineup in the past. Collectively, the Toronto lineup has a .412 average against Bradley. Plus, the Rays righty has a higher ERA at home this season (like he is Sunday) and he hasn’t earned a win since July! Yes, an IL stint was involved, but he hasn’t gotten a win in weeks!

Meanwhile, the Blue Jays starter, Yusei Kikuchi, is 5-3 with a 3.63 ERA on the road and he’s held TB’s roster to a .280 average (which isn’t great, but better than Taj Bradley against the Blue Jays’ bats).

Final note is Toronto is 22-13 on the run line as a road underdog. Let’s hope that win column has space for another victory on Sunday.

Best MLB Bets for September 24th: Blue Jays +1.5 (-195)

Colorado Rockies (+200) at Chicago Cubs (-245) – 2:20 PM EST

Some hitters see a pitcher well. In the case of the Chicago Cubs against Rockies starting pitcher Ty Blach, the entire lineup sees (and hits) him well.

Cody Bellinger has a .333 batting average, Dansby Swanson’s is .375, Ian Happ’s is .571, Nico Hoerner is .750, and Miguel Amaya and Mike Tauchman are a combined 3-for-3. The Cubs see Blach REALLY well!

And, the Cubs are fighting for their postseason lives so the urgency will be on Chicago’s side. Speaking of Chicago’s side, the Cubs will start Jordan Wicks – the Rockies roster only have 3 hits against him in 20 at-bats with only one RBI.

Oh, and the Rockies have the worst road win-loss record in the MLB, 22-58. Believe in the Cubs on Sunday (at least Chicago will have that to look forward to while Justin Fields and the Bears play the Chiefs).

Best MLB Bets for September 24th: Cubs ML (-245)

St. Louis Cardinals (+180) at San Diego Padres (-215) – 4:10 PM EST

At the beginning of the season, Cardinals-Padres sounded like a potential playoff matchup…yeah, that’s not happening. Instead, these two teams battle out a game that only has limited meaning. However, there is one stat we love in this game.

Michael Wacha at home has been a bet worth making this season. He’s 9-3, has a 2.63 ERA and .222 OBA while allowing just 7 home runs.

Now, Wacha has not been good in September – by far his worst month since April. But, we believe he’ll deliver a more consistent performance in San Diego on Sunday.

Additionally, the Cardinals starter, Drew Rom, has horrible numbers – no matter where he’s pitching. He’s 1-3 this year with a 6.92 ERA with a .303 OBA. He’s never faced the Padres roster, but that roster is hot right now. San Diego has 6 hitters with a .300 or better batting average over the last week, including 2 hitters hitting above .400 (Juan Soto and Xander Bogaerts).

The Padres big bats are finally hot all at the same time. Combine that with “Home Wacha” and that’s a successful formula for San Diego on Sunday.

Best MLB Bets for September 24th: Padres ML (-215)
