Atlanta Braves (-250) at Washington Nationals (+210) – 7:05 PM EST

Is it okay to take a bet that we made on Thursday and take that same bet on Friday? Hell yeah – as long as it cashes both times!

The Atlanta Braves are on fire, they have dominated the NL East (32-14, the best record of any team in MLB against their own division), and have a 43-25 record on the moneyline as a road favorite.

But we didn’t take Atlanta on the moneyline yesterday – we liked them to cover the spread, and that’s exactly what we want Friday.

On the run line, the Braves are 28-18 against the NL East – the Nationals are 24-22. Again on the run line, Atlanta is 42-36 on the road – Washington is 33-44 on the run line at home.

Now, let’s focus on the starting pitching matchup. The Braves start Charlie Morton, who has struggled in September but hasn’t been bad throughout the year. He hasn’t faced the Nats this season, but he’s 7-7 on the road with a 4.03 ERA (not bad, not good – somewhere in between).

Nationals starter, Patrick Corbin, is 4-8 with a 5.20 ERA at home, has a 5.94 ERA in September, and allowed 4 runs on 7 hits over 3 innings in a previous start against the Braves this year.

You already know where this is all heading and where we are going with this bet. Sure, braves moneyline feels like a sure thing, so we will take a little bit of risk on go with ATL on the run line.

Best MLB Bets for September 22nd: Braves -1.5 (-170)

Chicago White Sox (+175) at Boston Red Sox (-210) – 7:10 PM EST

The Red Sox were eliminated from playoff contention earlier this week – meaning they are in the same position the White Sox have been in for weeks.

Chicago has the 3rd worst record as the home team this season, they have the 4th worst record on the moneyline as a home underdog, and the 3rd worst moneyline record against non-division opponents.

Yes, the White Sox have been that bad this year. And, it won’t get better or easier on Friday as the White Sox start Touki Toussaint who has a 4-7 record with a 5.40 ERA this season. It’s even worse at home: 3-4 with a 5.58 ERA. In September, it gets even worse! Yes, he’s 2-1, but his ERA this month is 7.27!

On the other side, the Red Sox will send Chris Sale to the mound on Friday. Sale is coming off one of his best starts of the season – even though the Sox lost in extra innings, Sale went 6 innings, allowing just 2 hits, 1 earned run, and striking out 10 Blue Jay hitters.

So, Chicago has been unreliably unreliable at home and the starting pitching matchup favors the Red Sox? Boston, you make the best bet list for this Friday!

Best MLB Bets for September 22nd: Red Sox ML (-210)

Los Angeles Angels (+220) at Minnesota Twins (-270) – 8:10 PM EST

The Angels lost to the Rays on Thursday. Why does that matter? LA has the 6th worst moneyline record in games following a loss. The Halos are also 22-34 as an away underdog and 50-57 against non-division opponents.

The Angels are sending an unknown to the mound on Friday. Davis Daniel, the right-handed pitcher, has made just one appearance this season in the big leagues, allowing 2 hits and no runs over 3 innings on September 7 against the Guardians.

Given the lack of data, not much we can take from Daniel being the starting pitcher. However, we don’t have that same issue with the Twins starting pitcher.

Minnesota sends Pablo Lopez to the mound. He’s 10-8 on the year with a 3.58 ERA, and it gets even better in August (where he went 4-1 with a 2.00 ERA) and September (where he is 1-1 with a 2.84 ERA). Lopez has been pitching like an ace over the past few weeks. Now, he hasn’t been as good at home, but we aren’t too worried about that.

It’s his previous start against LA that has our attention. While it was a loss, Lopez threw 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 9. Not great – not bad.

Lopez should pitch even better on Friday against a lineup that isn’t nearly as loaded with stars as the last time Pablo Lopez faced LA.

With that said, we love Minnesota’s momentum – winning two in a row and 6 of their last 10 – as they push for a playoff spot that could help them advance past the first round (finally).

No surprise where we are going with our best bet on this one – Minnesota on the moneyline.
