Get the best MLB bets for September 26th

Some people would be happy with a 2-for-3 day on Monday. Not us! We are pissed we weren’t perfect with our best bets picks and we’re looking to do better with our best MLB bets for September 26th.

So, we aren’t celebrating anything – instead, we are working even harder to find three winners for today.

Ready for our MLB best bets? Let’s get at it…

Los Angeles Dodgers (-240) at Colorado Rockies (+200) (Game 1) – 3:10 PM EST

In one of the most one-sided matchups of the day, one of MLB’s best teams will face one of MLB’s worst teams.

The Dodgers are 30-15 against the NL West, while the Rockies are 12-36. That’s on the moneyline. On the run line, LA is 27-18 against division opponents while Colorado is 20-28.

So the trends favor LA (no shock), but what about the stats? Rockies starting pitcher Chase Anderson is winless at home this year, he’s winless in September, and he has a 14.73 ERA against the Dodgers this year.

Yes, this one is an obvious play – but if it cashes, who cares if it’s obvious or not. We are riding with the Dodgers on the run line.

Best MLB Bets for September 26th: Dodgers -1.5 (-170)

Washington Nationals (+200) at Baltimore Orioles (-240) – 6:35 PM EST

Baltimore is putting the finishing touches on one of the best regular seasons in franchise history. A series against the Nationals should only help the final record and season stats.

However, the opener might be a bit trickier than some expect. Nats starter Josiah Gray has pitched better on the road than at home this season, he has a 2.38 ERA over the last two weeks, and he had one of his best outings of the season against the Orioles earlier this year.

O’s start Kyle Bradish who is 4-4 at home, but has a 2.57 ERA at home. Additionally, Bradish is 2-1 in September with a 2.88 ERA and .195 OBA. He also pitched a 6-inning shutout in a win against the Nationals earlier this year.

So, Baltimore has the better starting pitcher (not by much), but the overall lineup heavily favors the Orioles. Combine that fact with the trends over the course of the season and the Orioles are an obvious pick. However, we are a little cautious about a close game given the pitching matchup so we are taking Baltimore on the moneyline – simple, but should result in an easy winning ticket.

Best MLB Bets for September 26th: Orioles ML (-240)

Houston Astros (+110) at Seattle Mariners (-130) – 10:05 PM EST

Astros-Mariners remains the must-see matchup of the day given the division and playoff implications.

The story of this game – at least for a pick standpoint – is the pitching matchup (and specifically splits).

Seattle Mariners starter George Kirby is 6-4 with a 3.10 ERA at home this year, and against the Astros this season Kirby has a 1.35 ERA. Kirby hasn’t been his sharpest in September, but his home stats are more important to us right now.

As for the Astros, Cristian Javier takes the mound with a 4-2 record on the road, but also a 5.40 ERA on the road. He’s also winless in September and winless against the Mariners this year.

Looking at trends, the M’s are 37-27 on the moneyline as a home favorite, while Houston is 21-11 as a road underdog. We certainly wouldn’t want to bet too heavily against the Astros, but taking the Mariners on the moneyline is a bet we are willing to back today.

MLB Best Bet: Mariners ML (-130)
