But, three of the four starts Lopez has made in August have been on the road, and the only home game was against the Pirates. Lopez has pitched better on the road this season than at home.
Lopez isn’t the only pitcher who has done well this month. Andrew Heaney is 3-0 over the last 30 days with a 2.91 ERA, only 1 home run allowed, and a .244 OBA.
The Rangers are 18-12 on the run line as a road underdog. The Rangers are 49-41 in non division games, 4th best record in MLB.
Lopez has been brilliant in August, but the Rangers as an underdog with a good pitcher on the hill for Texas has us excited about taking the Rangers to cover on the run line.

Oakland Athletics (+130) at Chicago White Sox (-150) – 8:10 PM EST
Did you know that the Oakland A’s have a 48-45 cover record on the run line against non-AL West opponents – that surprised us. The A’s are 18-18 on the run line after a win. That’s better than we expected.
Plus, the A’s have some hitters who are having a strong week. Zack Gelof has a .458 average over the past seven days with 16 total bases. Brent Rooker is hitting .348 with two homers over the past seven days.
Oakland actually has more runs, home runs, and total bases than the White Sox over the last week. And the A’s starting pitcher, Ken Waldichuk, is having the best month of his 2023 season with a 3.98 ERA.
Waldichuk actually has better numbers recently than the White Sox starter Jesse Scholtens. So, if you cover the team names and put a bet down purely on the trends and numbers, the A’s would be the team to favor.
