It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over…here are the final best bets for the MLB regular season!
Tampa Bay Rays at Toronto Blue Jays
Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish is 5-4 at home this season, but it’s his 2.29 ERA in Baltimore that has us looking towards him and the O’s in “Game 162”.
On top of the home success, Bradish has a 1.82 ERA in day games – and if you didn’t know, every MLB game will start between 3pm and 3:15pm EST so all the action and outcomes are simultaneous. A wonderful thing (red zone for baseball).
3pm still qualifies as a day game so Bradish has all the trends and splits on his side.
Red Sox starter Tanner Houck had a 6.56 ERA in September and is the ultimate symbol of a Red Sox team that had people talking in June and July before an abrupt drop into “rebuild mode”.
Baltimore will treat this like the ‘thank you, fans’ event that is before the postseason race starts and they’ll put up some runs against Boston’s weary arms. O’s win!
MLB Best Bet: Orioles ML
Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants
San Francisco will be focused on the 49ers kickoff while Dodgers fans celebrate and (just like the Orioles) dance on the graves of their division rivals.
The Dodgers are starting Bobby Miller, who is 6-1 on the road with a 3.29 ERA. He has struggled against the Giants this season, but that may serve as a motivator in this last game of the year as opposed to a foreshadowing stat against a weak Giants lineup.
Plus, Giants starter Kyle Harrison has struggled in September with a 6.30 ERA.
This has a similar formula and outcome as the Red Sox-Orioles, the difference is the Dodgers will do their damage and celebrating on the road. But, we still like the playoff-bound team to earn one final win on Sunday.

New York Yankees at Kansas City Royals
One of the lone bright spots over the past few weeks for the Yankees has been the emergence of Michael King as a member of the start rotation, this year and next.
With just a 1.82 ERA on the road this year, King should make a final statement to Yankees leadership that he belongs with the starters in 2024.
Now, is this Aaron Boone’s last game? Maybe. Is it Zach Greinke’s last game? Most likely, yes.
How will those two storylines impact the game. Maybe Greinke throws one more solid start? Maybe the Yankees go out fighting for Boone?
Hard to say – but with King on the mound, we will just take the Yankees to win and say goodnight to a bad Yankees and Royals regular season (for fans and bettors).
